Loading ...People are always in such a rush. Today I was late for class and was rushing down the street to get to the bus stop when I saw this old man stopped on the sidewalk. He had a cane but was having difficulty navigating the icy streets to the bus stop. The old man spoke with a young man who was walking by in a rush. I presume he was asking for help walking because the young man offered his arm and escorted the elderly gentleman down the busy street.
We’ve had a lot of snow in the past few days and the snowbanks are piled high. The sidewalks aren’t really clear so there’s usually only a narrow path that’s scraped by past these mountains of slush and snow. So the old man and the young man walked gingerly towards the bus stop on this busy street.
And what was incredible was that the pace of people around them slowed down. Before, people were rushing to get places and angrily cutting in front of people to get ahead. Now, there were people lined up on both sides of these two men, just patiently waiting for their turn to go by them. Smiles around.
When they got to the bus station, the young man helped the gentleman onto the bus. It was a nice moment
